The Flamingos were a bit startled at the splash as Robin cannonballed from the lobster statue, but otherwise ignored him.

Well, another welcome picnic had come and gone. And the reactions Robin had gotten had gone the gamut from the worst case scenario, to the best. Two people had thought he was a human turned into a frog, but they seemed to accept the truth easily enough.

The best part of the picnic though had been Hoshi's unexpected return. He'd missed her when she was gone. Even with all the new friends he'd made, her absence hurt. Though he wasn't sure he still had a crush on her.

Swimming was such a great way to just relax and think.

[Open as a park generally is. Robin's done with his reverie so he's open for interaction as well.:)]

For his birthday, Robin had gotten in the mail a few presents, and a number of phone calls from family. Currently he was talking to his uncle. He regaled Kermit with tales of Fandom weirdness and alien invasions. He told him of his classes and workshops, of the new friends he'd made and old ones he'd said goodbye too. He told him about his experience with the Gremlins and it's aftermath. He told him of people's continued startlement at his appearance.

"And I got to ride a unicorn!"

Kermit asked after the health of Jack and Robin's other friends, and told him of his plans for another television show.

They spoke of Robin's acting endeavors, the island's inhabitants, and even history, both of their own family and in general. Robn's civil war workshop had awakened an interest in him.

"So besides you how are the new kids reacting to the island?"

"Pretty well I think. There's some that are kinda on edge, but I bet pretty soon they'll be old hats."

By the time they hung up, Robin was very glad that Kermit was paying for the call.

Robin lay on his bed, listening to music, and trying not to dwell on his encounter with the girl in Turtle's shop. He'd met plenty of people who were surprised, shocked even to see him. But he'd never met anyone who'd outright said they had a problem with him existing. Even Umbrage hadn't reacted like that.

After a weekend in Florida, Robin had returned early this morning. Ah, another journey over and done. And to think his parents had almost not let him come back. Not after hearing about the Zombies. It had taken some heavy arguing and pleading to change their minds.

Also the pictures of him as a tadpole helped distract them.

His Uncle Kermit had had high praise for Robin's video tribute to Beatrice, and loved hearing about his TV, and Heroes classes.

His siblings (the older ones and those closest to his age anyway) had been full of questions about his friends, particularly female ones.

First of all I'll be off most of this weekend making a Firefly Fan-Film in Ocean City Maryland. I'll be around possibly late at night.

Secondly, has anyone else ever felt guilty for something they subjected their character to? Or am I the only one who's that insane?

Robin was writing a letter to his family. He wrote about playing on the curling court with Dinah, about how he turned into The Count during one weekend, and about the fire drill that left him with a cold.

He did not tell them about his failure once again to plan ahead enough to secure a date for the Valentine's Dance, or about the three minute .

He wrote at some length though about the
cruise and the Caribbean. Because really, how awesome had that been?

Robin was pleased to find both a program for recording something from a cassette tape onto computer, and a tutorial for how it worked.

Once he had his tribute on computer, he set about scanning every photo he had of him and Beatrice.

Well, this weekend had certainly been interesting. He had only ever met The Count once, at last years Christmas party. And even Robin had thought he was a little eccentric. But after spending the weekend as him, he'd come to realize something. Counting was not just something The Count loved to do. It seemed to be his entire reason for living.

After brushing his fangs, the count went to the window. Hmm, as he suspected upon waking, this was not his castle. This was strange, but! It gave him all new things to count! Eeee!

[Open for the room mate, or anyone else! Robin has become The Count.]

Give a restless guy a long weekend and he'll go wandering. I'll likely be afk this weekend, though I'll try to find motels with wireless internet.

Robin had seen the fliers. He really wanted a chocolate bar. He looked at the machine for a moment, not sure how to appease it, then had a sudden idea. He hopped up, put change in the machine, then hopped up, pressing the buttons for cheese crackers.

With a smug *whirr*, the machine gave him a chocolate bar. Eat that you bourgeois...frog. Robin let out a dramatic sigh, and took the chocolate bar. It worked!

Then he felt guilty for tricking the machine and wished it good luck in repentance.

Robin had just finished a letter to his parents and his uncle. The highlight of it of course was his weekend spent as a human. He also took great pride in telling Kermit about his TV Class, and getting to do Shakespeare.

It had been an interesting holiday season. Between meeting new friends, and having to say goodbye to old friends. The best part of the season though was giving gifts. He was prepared to admit, to himself at least, that there may have been some flirting on his part when giving certain girls gifts.

After writing the letter, he took a moment to stare blankly out the window, wondering what the future would hold. Watching the 30th Anniversary Special with Hoshi, and his chat with Ender about new years made him ponder. He didn't reflect for too long though. He figured that in the end, things would work, out for the best.

William "Billy" "Cap'n Bill" Kessler: Billy is from the comic book version of G.I. Joe. He's an alumni but you still might run into him from time to time. He has a missing eye, and a fake leg, both are the result of his troubled relationship with his father. This father by the way is known as Cobra Commander, a big time terrorist who's constantly trying to take over the world or at least destroy the US. Billy's a good guy, but since he was partly raised by terrorists he's a bit in the grey area of morality. He's a ninja and has military training. He's currently in his freshman year at Eckerd, and canon wise we're near Destro's setting the Commander up to be captured by the Government, and we've already been through Master and Apprentice II.

Tully Mars: Tully is from the Jimmy Buffet book "A Salty Piece of Land". He's restoring the light house (and is constantly in need of help in that. Please help), and living in the hotel. He's a sailor, and a cowboy, with a horse named Mr. Twain. He's also got a boat down at the docks. He can fight if he has to, but really prefers to avoid violence.

Robin: Well I still like his info post here, but there's some updates: The year for Robin is about 1987. The Muppet Show is done, also the Great Muppet Caper, as in the movie they refer to it being a movie, and the Muppet Movie have been made, Several of the specials with John Denver have happened. A Muppet Family Christmas has happened, and I just got done adding The Muppets Celebrate 30 Years to the mix.

Robin's holiday vacation had been wonderful so far. And tonight was looking to be very exciting too.

The room was full of Muppets of every size, shape and species. The ballroom was the site of a party that his Uncle Kermit, with the help of a mysterious benefactor, was throwing, celebrating the 30th aniversory of the Muppets in show business. As Kermit's nephew, he got to sit at the High Table with Kermit, Rowlf, Fozzie, Gonzo, and many others.

30 years! It was incredible! It made him proud to be part of that. And to be here tonight, staying up late to help celebrate it.

And the party would be televised later! So he could share it with all his friends!

It was cold, but robin was wrapped in a blanket, so he was warm enough. He'd just felt the need to sit out on the quad, sing, and ponder life.

"Oh I wish I was a punk rocker, with flowers in my hair..." Naomi's song from last week had really stuck with him.

Thanksgiving was done, and Christmas was almost upon them. He'd be going home for Christmas this year, which while nice, was somewhat less exciting than last year. Also he didn't know how well he'd take being home again, once again back where Beatrice had lived.

His project for her was coming along, and he now had a goal. He wanted to be done with it by January 31st, in time for Beatrice's birthday.

The thought of how supportive his friends here were in his endeavor made him glad, not for the first time, how glad he was that Uncle Kermit had found this place. Between the students (some of whom he still harbored crushes), the classes (even though some were occasionally scary), and of course, the weirdness, Fandom was a wonderful place.

Of course it was that last one that really hit home. He'd wondered many times what it would be like to be human. And this past weekend, he'd found out. All in all, he'd rather liked it. Being able to reach things without jumping first, facial expressions, and of course, the lack of staring.

Sure, it could be amusing sometimes, people's reactions to him. But he did really get tired of being considered strange. Of people treating him at first like he wasn't real. Not that he'd wanted the change to be permanent of course. He loved being a frog. But the change of pace had been nice.

Robin rose with a yawn, and padded into the bath room. It didn't occur to him right away that he could see into the mirror without first hopping onto the sink. He wasn't all the way awake yet you see. Then he saw. And he stared uncomprehendingly for a minute.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

[For the roommate at first, but open.]

Trick or Treating had been a lot of fun, even if it had reminded him that Beatrice had been already planning her costume earlier in the summer. Though Halloween was a week ago, Robin's bag was still mostly full, sitting on top of his desk (and that hadn't been easy to do). And a handful of candy he'd placed in front of the now framed pictures of her. He'd eat them last.

He tried to imagine what she'd think of him working in at a Comic Book store. He figured she'd think it was funny. He knew she'd have laughed out loud if he'd gotten to tell her about his history class with the Spanish Inquisition.

He sighed. He needed chocolate. Fortunately there was still a ready supply of that.

After talking to, and playing with Kermit, Robin felt better than he had since Beatrice's funeral. Plus he'd met Billy Gibbons, which was way cool. It had felt good to meet people, and talk to old friends again. And he couldn't help but giggle at Gonzo's tale of meeting Hurley.

He'd never had to deal with the kind of emotion, he'd been dealing with, for so long. It had been exhausting, to the point of not having the energy to do anything. He felt reenergized having finally talked about it, and with a project to work on, trying to find a way to properly say goodbye to her.

He picked up the tape that had come in the mail with the photos of him and Beatrice, and finally put it in the tape player, and pushed play.
